Description
A runner hand-knotted in India, made in the tradition of Arts & Crafts design. The dominant background is a rich teal or deep turquoise blue, contrasted by a prominent crimson red border and detailed accents in cream, beige, and soft blush pink. The main body showcases elaborate, symmetrical floral motifs and palmettes. The lower section features large, stylized botanical or animal-like figures flanking a central pink and red flower head. A narrow, repeating geometric guard border runs along the left and bottom edges, featuring alternating cream and blue diamond-shaped motifs set against a deep red ground. The rug displays a thick, plush wool pile with a slightly uneven, textured surface characteristic of hand-woven textiles. Some natural color variation (abrash) is visible within the teal sections.
