Description
A finely hand-knotted rug in a Persian or Tribal (such as Kazak or Heriz) regional style, characterized by a geometric execution of organic motifs and bold, contrasting color blocks. A long, rectangular, solid red open field with subtle, variegated striations (abrash), giving it a textured, heathered appearance. A narrow, dark blue band filled with small, alternating geometric multi-colored diamonds or cross motifs. A wide, highly detailed band featuring a repeating pattern of stylized floral medallions, geometric rosettes, and rectangular panels in alternating colors. Finished with minor guard borders and thin cream-colored fringe along the top and bottom edges. A rich crimson or brick red dominates the center field and parts of the outer border. The intricate borders incorporate a vibrant mix of navy blue, royal blue, sage green, gold, cream, and terracotta.
