This is a bold red geometric Caucasian Tribal Kazak, hand-woven in Afghanistan. The central motif is a prominent, stepped cross-shaped medallion rendered in midnight blue. The interior of the cross contains a cluster of four smaller ivory and red star/diamond shapes. A vibrant red background surrounds the central medallion. It is scattered with traditional, small geometric tribal symbols, including multiple eight-pointed stars and blocky, stylized floral figures. Vertically balancing the central cross are three octagonal or shield-shaped cartouches near the bottom edge containing abstract tree-of-life or comb motifs. A wide ivory-cream main border frames the entire red field. It features an alternating, sharp serrated triangle pattern resembling dragon or arrowhead guard bands in shades of black, blue, gold, and red.
