This rug features a traditional Persian Serapi / Heriz design. It is heavily inspired by classical Harshang (crab) and Shah Abbasi motifs, which are highly characteristic of northwest Persian weaving traditions. The central field has a light cream, beige, or soft tan background color. The patterns are woven with vibrant tones of terracotta orange, deep rust red, navy blue, medium blue, and gold-yellow accents. The main body of the rug is covered in a symmetrical, repeating lattice or network layout. It consists of large, stylized geometric medallions, palmettes, and floral cartouches connected by delicate lines. A wide, decorative border framing the central field repeats the primary color scheme. It features a continuous geometric and floral pattern running along all four sides, bounded by thin dark inner and outer accent guards.
