Description
A luxurious hand-woven runner from India in the style of a Persian Kashan. The dominant background color is a rich crimson red. The intricate patterns are woven using contrasting shades of light blue, navy blue, sage green, gold, and ivory. The central field design displays an ornate, interconnected floral and vine motif (often referred to as an Isfahan or Kashan style design). Delicate, winding stems connect various stylized flower heads and palmettes. A cream or ivory-colored decorative border frames the central red field. It contains smaller, repeating floral patterns wrapped in dark blue outlines.
