This rug features a rich color palette and highly detailed ornamentation. The central field is dominated by a deep burgundy or crimson red. This is framed by a wide, contrasting border in a light cream or ivory hue. Accent colors woven throughout the motifs include sage green, beige, gold, and dark brown or black outlines.
The central field features an intricate, all-over configuration of Shah Abbasi palmettes connected by a delicate network of scrolling floral vines and leaves, rather than relying on a single dominant central medallion.
