Description
The bold, slightly oversized scale of the floral motifs mixed with a softer accent palette (beige, sage green, and soft blue-grey) is highly characteristic of Ziegler Farahan or Anatolian Oushak interpretations, although the runner was hand-woven in India. The primary field is a rich, vibrant crimson red, while the detailed patterns and surrounding borders consist of cream, beige, muted sage green, and soft blue-grey accents. The red center contains repeating, symmetrical floral rosettes and palmettes connected by winding, delicate vine scrolls (known as islimi or arabesque patterns). The central red field is framed by a thin, ornate inner guard border featuring a repeating geometric or micro-floral pattern, which transitions into a wider cream-colored main border visible at the edges.
